To our valued clients and partners:
As we are sure you are aware, the United States and Canada have been increasing social distancing and self-isolation measures in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus and COVID-19.
We want to take the opportunity to update you all on how AscendantFX is addressing the pandemic and provide guidance for you in these uncertain times.
In addition to the health and well-being of our staff, we are committed to limiting any impact this outbreak may have on our level of service to you, our customers.
Business Continuation Plan
We have made the decision to implement temporary precautions to protect our staff and clients while maintaining "business-as-usual" service levels. Thankfully, this is part of our existing business strategy, and as a result the majority of this plan was in place long before the outbreak.
All non-essential staff will begin to work remotely from home, with essential staff rotating physical office presence in shifts. Should you require the assistance of your account manager, they will still be available via phone or email as usual.

Our toll-free number, website, and general inquiries inboxes will also not be affected, and clients should expect service levels to continue as normal.
Our aPay online system will not be affected and will remain available to you 24/7 as normal.
Market Volatility
We understand that this is also an uncertain time financially. There has been a great deal of market volatility and things continue to change dramatically from day-to-day.
We are here to help should you want to take measures to manage your organization's exposure. Your account manager can provide advice on how to mitigate your risk, help make sense of market movements, and provide you with options.
COVID-19 and Canada
Our east and west coast offices are both located in Canada (Toronto and Victoria respectively). Earlier today (March 16), Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau closed the Canadian border to non-residents/citizens, and has requested that people remain home as much as possible.
We continue to monitor Canadian Government COVID-19 announcements to remain up to date on the latest developments, and recommend our clients do the same.
COVID-19 and the United States
Our staff in the US already work remotely on a day-to-day basis, and we have encouraged them to increase social distancing efforts and notify us of any exposure.
Any planned cross-border travel for our staff has been suspended, and we have also suspended all trade show activity in the United States until further notice.
If you are in the United States, refer to your state's website or the CDC for the latest official updates.
Limiting Travel
We have suspended our participation in any upcoming trade shows until further notice.
We have also requested that all staff limit their travel to essential trips only, and have requested that staff enter self-isolation for 2 weeks if they have recently traveled outside of the US and Canada. Any future travel by employees will also require 2 week self-isolation upon their return.
Moving Forward
We will continue to keep you updated on the status of AscendantFX staff and services as it pertains to you and your business.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
The AscendantFX Team
